2005-01-18 9:47 AM writerly considerations and pills! pills! pills! So The Cold brought its very own mother of a sinus headache yesterday. Tolerating this blasted cold is one thing, dealing with a sinus headache is entirely another. The doc recommended an OTC medication that did the trick. Woo hoo! It also kept me up a good portion of the night. Not so woo hoo. In any event, it did take care of the sinus headache and helped me to feel better, which is invaluable. And it's about time to take another dose. That's the thing about having a kid -- you're can't call in with a headache and spend your day in a dark bedroom, expecting to be left totally alone. In terms of my writerly life... I wrote a short story last summer that I loved. I probably still do. I can't say I'm totally satisfied with it, but I can't say that about anything I write. People in my writing group who critted it were touched by it, too, which is A Very Cool Thing. However, it certainly has its problems that need to be fixed. And I'm not sure I know how to do it. And my writing group isn't entirely sure either. It's a fairly complex problem, I suppose. Maybe someone more experienced would have some insight, but that's not me :). So I'm going to try to see what I can come up with this week, see if I can't fix the story's social problem somehow. It's sat on the back burner for a while, so perhaps my brain is ready to tackle it. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
