2005-03-01 10:10 AM can you feel it? Little kids are amazing. Though still sick, Avadore's a lot better than he was yesterday. Rice is doing quite a bit better. He's not 100%, but he's getting closer. As for me, well, I'm a bit slow. Soon, though, I'll be better soon. I have to be. There's too much to do and I've been down a week already. At least I don't have a day job I'm expected to show up to.
Needless to say, there has been no writing done during the duration of the illness. None at all. But there hasn't really been any reading, either. Too hard to focus and keep thoughts connected in my head. I can't wait to return to both of these things, to return to a lot of my normally "scheduled" activities. At the same time, I know it won't be today. Today the things that need to be done are: -- Take care of Avadore as much as possible -- Call and RSVP for a bridal shower -- Call a young woman and cheer her up for a minute -- Take care of myself and get well -- At least pretend to consider what we'll eat for dinner And that may not even be the correct order to take these things in, though I'll feel better when the second and third item are accomplished. And spring is getting closer, I can feel it. The light has been changing, the sun is setting later and later, and the neighborhood children are coming out to play. If we were well, Avadore would probably be riding the bike he got for Christmas up and down the sidewalk. When we get back on our feet, it will be time for some spring cleaning and baby preparations. Time for lemon tea and lots of honey. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
