Electric Grandmother

Day 16 of NaNoWriMo.

Shut down your computer and restart it. Sit down, ready to work on your NaNoWriMo novel. You know, the one you're about 50% of the way through with. Forget you've been saving in the directory that is backed up every night off-site. Believe it's on your own hard drive. Believe it's somehow been lost and you can't find it.

How to avoid the heart attack:

1) Be married to a computer scientist, and know if you need him to, he can find it.
2) Do a search on the title and find it.
3) Have an aha! duh moment where you remember where you've been saving it for the past month.

Duh.
