But anyway... So I found this link to a D&D video at YouTube. It's pretty funny, though I've seen the same sound over different animation that I thought was funnier. Anyway, I sent it to Winter because he would, of course, think it was funny. And he answers back with a hello, which is odd because we've already greeted one another today. And then he says: This is the Missionaries. And, of course, because God would think it's funny, I had a freudian slip in my typing and said: "Oh, hell," instead of "Hello", even though I was feeling just a bit of a "Oh hell" moment since I just sent them a D&D video. What followed what a nice, superficial conversation in which they told me they're teaching Winter the first discussion today, among other things. For example, I asked if they ever got "Dear John'd" via IM. (They said no, they can only use IM when someone they're visiting says to answer their IM, like Winter did today.) Winter is looking for enlightenment, and so he's looking everywhere. And I mean everywhere -- everywhere from the Ggnostics to Crowley. He was telling me Friday night that he was bummed: he had lost his copy of The Torah and The Qur'an during a move. I don't think he'll be the usual sort the missionaries are used to dealing with around here. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
