2007-11-25 2:52 PM outside it's cold and dreary, and not in the cool cold and dreary sort of way.
It's a good day for the Bronte sisters, cherry black tea, and a nice bath. Or an escapist novel, chai green tea, and a warm bed. Or for making a big pot of chili with 86% Belgian chocolate and citrus fruit, and listening to Tori Amos. Or meeting good friends at a bookstore to browse and chat about favorite books. Or to go to a sushi joint and eat edamame and rolls with good friends and talk about movies and comics and what's currently up. Akin to something Tori Amos once said in "Space Dog", where's Akanthos when you need him? (Probably at his local B&N sipping on a coffee and checking out cool books to read after eating at the Happy Sumo. :)) The best friends I have made in my life were always by accident. Something that just happened, two people in the right place at the right time doing the right things and something clicked. I have never made a friend by going somewhere for the very purpose of meeting people, with one exception, but still that was mostly by accident. Does it work this way for you? Sort of defeats the purpose of a single's bar. (Not that I was planning on hanging out at a single's bar, it was just the first place I could think of that people go to with the specific purpose of meeting people. I seem to be married.
