2006-01-09 3:55 PM A valubale lesson for the struggle to lose weight. Today one of my room mates asked if I wanted to go down to the local drug store with her while she picked up some pictures she was getting developed. I said yes, even though I knew there was nothing I needed. On the way there I decided I was in the mood for chocolate, and while she got her photos, I carefully studied the monstrous candy section to select just the right chocolately treat to satisfy my craving. After she had payed for her pictures and I still hadn't decided, the cashier playfully said, "If it takes you that long to choose, you probably don't need it." And she was right. I wasn't hungry at all. I got some gum instead.
