I'm 25.

People are such fucking assholes.

I'm not sure if it's a northern thing or if people are just universally assholes. Last night my friends and I all headed to the diner to get some coffee and possibly something to eat. Everyone does this. All the time. So we get there and there's five of us and the guy seats us at a booth meant for big groups. It's not like we asked to sit there. He put us there. Then the waitress comes over and we order coffee and no food, and she gets this huge attitude like us getting coffee is the biggest inconvenience ever. She was like, "That's it? Coffee? You took this whole table up just to order coffee?" Look bitch, whether I order fried octopus or a vanilla milkshake is none of your goddamn business. I didn't come to the diner to get sassed. It's not like there was an enormous line trailing outside of eager diner hopefulls waiting to get seated. Practically no one was there. What a bitch. I couldn't believe it. If I talk to a customer like that at work, my ass gets fired. Whenever we get coffee, which comes out to be around two dollars, we always leave at least a dollar for tip. So the bitch would be getting a 50% tip. The whole time she kept shooting us nasty looks as if we were some kind of diseased specimens that crawled in from the sewer system or something and were clamoring for coffee. Then my friend went to pay the bill and the manager was like, "You took that booth for two coffees?" Yea, then my friend sassed him back and it was great. I just don't understand. We're paying customers like anyone else, but just because we're kids they have to give us an attitude like we don't deserve to eat. I'm sure if some rich balding fat businessman driving a Porshe came in and ordered a coffee, they would be licking his ass. But no, we're worthless. When I'm at work I practically have to suck everyone's dick and the customer is always right and all this other bullshit but when I go out I get treated like some cancerous lump on the teat of society. The other day my friend Amanda and I went to Philadelphia and we walked into this store that sold stripper paraphanelia, and we went to look at shoes and Amanda was wondering if she could actually walk in them, and she asks the girl working there if she could try them on, and the girl was like, "Well are you serious about buying them? We only cater to people serious about the stripper business." Keep in mind there was absolutely no one in the store, and how the fuck does she know if Amanda is interested in buying them or not? I'm sure SO MANY PEOPLE are yearing to be strippers so she can't be bothered with our petty requests to try on stilletos. Then we went into another store and Amanda was trying out this whip, which she actually wanted to buy, and the woman was like, "If you could not crack the whip, that would be great." Fuck yourself, bitch. Amanda was only trying it out to see if it was good, which is usually what you do before you buy something. People who work at stores have no right to be rude to customers who are not acting out of the ordinary. I've dealt with customers who were completely obnoxious, but it's not like I act that way when I go into stores. People are so mean here. I want to go back to the south.
