2007-11-19 9:16 AM America needs a writers' strike. I am glad the writers in California are on strike. Now no one will be able to ask me if I watch such-and-such and respond with, "Oh my god, that's like the best show. You need to watch it." Thanks for the persuasive rhetoric.
If there are less shows on television maybe people will venture outside more instead of planting themselves firmly on their cushioned heaven. TV is nice and all, but if David Letterman isn't around to give the nation ten somewhat amusing items in list form I don't think it's the end of existence. I never watch TV so I'm probably in the minority by saying that I won't even know the difference, but out of all the tragedies which could be bestowed upon the human race, watching reruns for the next season seems like a cakewalk. But Grey's Anatomy is so deep and touching and how will I live, wahhh!!!! Maybe people will get off their fat asses and take a jog around the block.
