2007-12-12 4:22 PM You know you've made it when your hair is worth $48,000. A lock of John Lennon's hair recently sold for $48,000, thus proving two things:
1. You can sell anything on E-bay, and 2. People are willing to shell out inexplicable amounts of money to create a sense of closeness to a celebrity. Other random thoughts: Today as I was napping I remembered something interesting my journalism teacher had said earlier this semester: my generation does not exist. My generation does not exist because we rely on the instant gratification of digital cameras, quickly deleting those photos which give us one chin too many or the eerie rabid look of red eye. In twenty years we'll have nothing to look back on, nothing to prove we ever did anything besides plaster our overexposed flaw-hiding pixels on our Myspace accounts. There will be no photo albums, no lockets, no picture frames, no Polaroids; just glossy, perfect Web sites with pictures of people taken from strange angles in the most flattering light. It's finals week and I can't wait to go home. I am so sick of people here. I am so sick of my roommate. She's in a bad mood every single day, which means she doesn't talk and medicates herself with Sex and the City DVDs and HBO specials. She thinks we're all going to miss her when she studies abroad next semester, but the truth is, I can't wait to see her go. She's done nothing but belittle everyone this semester and act like the little snobby only child she is. I don't care what anyone says, only children are always spoiled little brats. I'm sick of eating pasta for every meal. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
