2010-04-06 9:20 PM Sex Addiciton? Give me a break. I'm sure there really are people out there who suffer from sex addiction, but somehow I doubt that Tiger Woods and Jesse James have been afflicted. What makes me so angry is that the message to be taken away from both these public affairs is that these men are victims who are suffering from a horrible disease and that they have no control over their indiscretions.
What great PR it must be to turn infidelity into some sort of public awareness. Sex addiction can strike anyone at any time. If you find yourself seeking cocktail waitresses and tattooed white trash, it may be time to get help. Lying about the affairs to your significant other is all part of the disease, so don't worry about how hurt she feels or that it might ruin a marriage. This is America, where most people are addicted to something anyway. Join the club. Why can't Tiger just be honest? Hey, I'm a really, really wealthy and famous athlete. Women usually throw themselves at me and I didn't think I would get caught, but now that I did, I, uh, have, uh, you know, an...addiction. Yes, an addiction. I'm sick, see! It's awful! Unbearable! I have an attractive wife at home, but when I'm away I just have to sleep with as many busty women as I can or else I just don't feel right! I say Elin divorce him and squeeze every last cent out of him, then travel the Jenny Sanford route and write a tell-all book. I truly hope that Tiger is the exception and not the rule, and that men are capable of mature, honest relationships. But I'm not holding my breath.
