2010-10-29 12:35 AM A list of things that annoy me. People's opinions.
I'm sick of everyone and their opinions. I'm sick of people fronting offensive sentences with, "No offense, but...(insert hurtful comment here)...but that's just my opinion." I don't give a shit about your opinion and just because you claim your brutal remark was made out of honesty doesn't it any easier to swallow. The truth is overrated. It won't kill you to immerse your precious "opinions" in some dishonesty every once in awhile. People who linger. Sometimes when I'm at work I don't feel like engaging in smalltalk, so I make a point to intently stare at my computer when the usual offenders walk by. When my first line of defense fails and I'm sucked into a meaningless conversation I'll type frivolously. See? I'm typing. And not making eye contact with you. Get it? That means I don't want to talk to you. I don't care how your weekend was. It was probably boring, just like mine. Glad we got that out of the way. Now I'll go back to focusing on my screen and hope you get the hint. People who tell me not to waste my 20's on a relationship. I SHOULD be traveling, dating four men at once, sipping cocktails with my girlfriends and wearing glitter, but instead I'm pissing away my youth with my steady boyfriend and low-paying job. I don't understand where people got the notion that freedom is only available to those in their 20's. Maybe I don't like dating. Maybe I'm very happy with my current relationship and don't feel the need to end things just so I can stumble around bars in blister-inducing heels trolling for men with minimal baggage. And who the hell has money to travel in their 20's, anyway? People whose Facebook statuses: -complain about what day of the week it is -list what the person is eating -give a synopsis of that person's extremely lame day. (ex: Mary is combing her hair, running to the post office and renting a movie.) -provide a play-by-play of a sporting event -reference the cuteness of one's child(ren) -use the abbreviations "fml," "tgif," "imo." -talk about being blessed, lucky, or loving God I've got to go to bed.
