Dude...us liberals are looking at Disney's censoring of Michael Moore's film "Fahrenheit 9-11" completely wrong. This is probably the best news that could have come to Michael Moore's doorstep.
Think about it this way: First off, the movie is going to be released. Sure Miramax owns it and Disney is blocking it. But Harvey Weinstein is no idiot. He's been a vocal and financial supporter of Michael Moore throughout the entire filming of this movie. He knows there's money to be made off this. Expect him to start marketing the movie around, surely someone's going to buy it. Newline...I'm looking in your direction. But more importantly, look at it this way. This air time and press coverage is the most primo way to market a movie like this. Much like Mel Gibson did with "The Passion of the Christ," controversy sells. And not only does controversy sell, it sells big time. The more controversial this movie is before it's even released, the more people are going to flock to see it. When it comes to marketing, especially marketing a political movie like this, the more bad press before it comes out, the better. So Michael Moore fans, don't you worry. I quote the president..."bring it on." And while they're busy censoring it, and making a big deal out of this movie, the more we should be thanking them.
