The first line from the first post of each month this year:

January: from the post titled "Happy New Year"
Just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone who reads this a Happy New Year.

February: from the post titled "The Winter Olympics"
I stole this from Sports Illustrated. I thought it best summed up my views on the Winter Olympics.

March: from the post titled "I Feel Like a Fast"
Giving up:

red meat, laziness, beer, and candy/cookies

April: from the post titled "V For Vendetta Review"
"V for Vendetta" is one of the best movies I've seen in years, maybe not so much in terms of technical skill (direction, acting, and cinematography), though this movie is quite good in all the above categories, but more because it moved me like few movies I've ever seen.

May: from the post titled "Look Up In the Sky"
...it's a bird.

June: from the post titled "The sElection of 2004"
The election of 2004 was rigged and faulty.

July: from the post titled "Tasteless Post Removed"
matt out

August: from the post titled "A Familiar Theme"

September: from the post titled "Gettin' Paid"
Got my first paycheck.

October: from the post titled "blah"
Sorry the bloggin's been scarce.

November: from the post titled "What Costume Do You Wear When You Need Glasses?"
Anya and I put on our costumes went down to Sixth Street last night.

December: from the post titled "This Isn't Official But"
This isn't official, but I'm due for a pretty hefty raise in January.

Updates:

January: I had a happy new 2006, did you?

February: I actually enjoyed the Winter Olympics this year, so I'm not sure why I posted that blog in February.

March: I don't remember how long it was, but I really enjoyed my fast. As a matter of fact, maybe I should start another one up.

April: "V For Vendetta" is near the top of my list of movies I've seen in 2006, though that won't be released until January. I've seen a lot less movies this year than I have in the previous few years, but the movies I did see were all of high quality, so I'm not complaining.

May: "Superman Returns" was a wonderful movie and is near the top of my list for my favorite movies of 2006. There are supposed to be some great movies coming out in 2007, so be expecting more posts with movie trailers in them.

June: Yeah, I still think the 2004 election was faulty. It was good to see that there weren't many instances of voter fraud in the 2006 elections. Hmmmm, no voter fraud and a Democratic win?!? Coincidence? ;-)

July: I don't remember what this "tasteless" post was, but I think it had something to do with Ken Lay's death and the warm after life he has waiting for him.

August: Yeah, you really can't beat the SW theme as played by a banjo.

September: Gettin' paid, indeed. The first of the month can never come soon enough.

October: I really need to blog more.

November: It felt good to dress up for Halloween again. It's the one day of the year when everyone lets their freak flags fly.

December: It is official, I am getting a nice pay raise. Drinks on me.
