Paperwork. Yes, in fact: when I know what I'm doing; when it's a sunny but cold winter afternoon; when I have a mug of hot coffee at hand; when I add up both my receipts and my blessings.

Not having to halt work to deal with grocery shopping. It does limit our dinner options somewhat, but I think I can improvise tuna cakes out of what we have (to go with "Spanish mushrooms in sherry," white rice, and maybe some spinach)
