It's freaking hot in Nashville these days, y'all. And I'm the world's most boring housemate when I'm slammed with work and chores.
So what's a dog to do but sprawl and snooze?
Anyway, I'm done for the day. I had some Portuguese table wine left over from last week, and a bowlful of strawberries too tart to snack on, so I combined them a day or two ago, and tonight, with dribs of honey + Handel's Giustino on the CD player -- such sweetness:
Also... The latest tweet-sized poem, at microcosms: Cheshire knife... I enjoyed Charlie Smith's Illustrated Guide to Familiar American Trees at poems.com today, and the ending of Coleman Barks's Lightning Bugs and the Pleiades knocked me happily off-kilter enough that I immediately e-mailed a friend it had called to mind.
