After almost a complete month of virtually non-stop working and planning and prepping, our little ol' Love Shack is now officially For Sale.

Holy cow. I don't believe how it all came together, not without a good bit of stress, along with lots of help from both my family and Elizabeth's. We lucked out in that respect -- my family helped with the house on the inside and out, making our 12-year-old ranch look like a brand-spanking new house, while Elizabeth's fam came through with their real-estate and decorating skills.

I can't wait to take a picture of the house with the For Sale sign in front of it.

At last, we have our lives back! We don't have to re-enact crucial scenes from "The Money Pit" over and over! I won't have to come to work with paint and dog shit on my shoes any more! I feel... I feel... like a new man!

Now we can actually start thinking about the NEW house, which is due to be done by the end of March.

And I can start thinking about finishing that new story. And turning in my revisions to my story "The Brotherhood of Trees," coming from Aeon next month. And digging out my dusty ol' Moleskine so I can pick up (gasp) the plot of Sixteen Miles again. Oh, and read some fiction by friends for critique -- it's been a while!
