I think I did this a while back at our other house (note to self -- find link later!), but Greg's entry and the article he linked to about Writers' Rooms inspired me to snap a picture this morning of my own office:



The desk is relatively clean because I'm in the process of starting a brand-new novel project (having finished all my busy-work with the Sixteen Miles novel and synopsis yesterday -- woo!). Lizzie owns the right-hand piles, I get the left-hand side.

Then I realized that this wasn't an accurate representation -- I usually only have my little lamp on in the wee hours of the a.m., so I turned the flash off:



And there ya have it. I plan on hanging a lot more pictures and art on the walls, after we paint it, and after we get some bookshelves built or installed or bought... Could be a while, I know.
