2005-11-15 9:59 AM Pretending I've been having a discussion with a friend on pretending. When you hear that word does it automatically strike you as a pejorative? Something only kids should do? I wonder if we don't spend most of our lives pretending in some ways, and I don't mean this pejoratively. I mean it in the sense of trying things on, like a child trying on a parent's clothes, make-up, cologne, etc. Sort of like, "how would this fit?"
