The kids and I watched Cocoon last night. It's been quite a while since I saw it. I like it. And I think it does well at showing one of those fundamental tensions in life, whether wisdom lies in changing things or accepting things. A very poignant moment when the grandfather (Brimley) tells his grandson they are going away and won't see him again. I wanted to say no, no. I wanted him to decide he wouldn't go.
