Sadly, actor Corey Haim is dead at 38.

Most will remember him from "Lost Boys", an 80's flick about a family that moves to a vampire-infested town on the coast of California. It also starred Keifer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Jamie Gertz, and Cory Feldman. It's one of my favs. I remember seeing it in the theater and the opening sequence taking my breath away. Had a huge crush on Jason Patric.

I caught a couple of episodes of the "reality" show with both Haim and Feldman, but Haim was just a train wreck and it was too painful to watch, so I never followed it. By all accounts he was making a comeback of sorts, involved in two movies, one of which is still shooting.

I can't say I'm surprised by his death, and that might be the saddest thing of all.

Money, fame. It means nothing in the long run, really.

RIP, little dude.
