i got to thinking (how dangerous for me!) that it may have seemed that i was glad the mean lady got hit.

absolutely not.

it just occurred to me how coincidental it was.

which leads me to wonder: karma, chance, luck...what is it that makes the world go round?

i know, i'm close to asking the big question, what is the meaning of life? but it's not the meaning i'm after - doubt if i'll ever find that - just wondering if everything is predestined or chance?

like so many of you i do believe in "paying it forward" and "you reap what you sow". but are some things just meant to be? i know we create our own destinies, but what about things like the car wreck that seem to be chance, bad luck, accidents...

gotta go get ready to clean. birthday party tonight for 3 friends at one of said friend's house. i haven't done anything "adult" in a very long time. and yes, hubby is coming with me this time.

school starts monday, so the weekend will be filled with katherine and the mall. katherine = yay!!! the mall = boo hiss. still, it's fun running around with her. she is such a delightful child, and so is nigel. i just don't see much of his delightful self anymore. i think he has a new squeeze so he's not around a lot.

taking mother to louisville on monday morning to catch a plane to canada. say it with me now...YAY and SQUEEEEEEE! we've decided we're going to do 1 small trip a month to get out and about as a family. close by there are all kinds of things we can see and do in a day trip or an overnighter. we're actually planning on driving to st catherine's (where mom and richboyfriend live in canada) to go to niagara falls for a long weekend. they live about 15 minutes away from it. (wonder if they can hear the roar on a calm night??) i've always wanted to go, and it's starting to cool down there already, so that should be a nice trip. we were going to drive her up, but dave's work schedule hasn't panned out, so we'll put that off til september or october.
