I keep having to reread the email to believe it. Strange Horizons is going to give me a gallery for my artwork. (OK, so I won't be in there for my SF&F writing, but then I didn't submit writing.) It's still really exciting, since I thought it wasn't going to happen, then the email came out of the blue.

I've been looking at the art galleries on Strange Horizons since then, and getting a bit cowed by the stuff that's been featured before me, some of them from people I already know. I'll really be in good company. After this, I should get to stress over which pieces I think I should show there. It's always hard to decide how to pick and present a nice group.

On a different note, I got to test my paints on the new paper I bought from the art supply store yesterday. When the stuff I originally wanted wasn't available, I settled on a substitute, that now I know doesn't quite work out for my purposes. Here's the quickie test I did though. The test looks OK here...but the thing looks awful up close!

Right. Now back to the work I'm supposed to do. :)
