Project: TRINITY
Patron: pgh diocese
Medium: QuarkXPress 5.0
Status: At the printers! Whoott!
Deadline: passed

So finally sent the newsletter to the printers today. I hope it gets there. I had to use an unknown messenger service. I had to recycle an envelope to send it in since I have no office supplies of my own on hand. I had to pay for it on my personal credit card because I don't have a business one yet. I sent a b/w laser low res example, reduced since I don't have access to a decent printer. And the cover letter I sent with it was on no letterhead. So, I guess the final verdict is that this job was fun, but damned if the work environment wasn't annoying. I know I know. Beggers can't be choosers; but I'd bet half my stress was from this sort of pissant little problem.

So alot of that will be changing. I'm in the process of incorporating, and hope to spend this weekend either buying or planning what to buy so that I can set up a home office. Get the stuff I need now, or that will take the longest to ship, and then settle down into getting the other things as I go. I have kind of a repreive from "homework" for about a week, but I need to be back up and ready to do this newsletter around the end of september.

I started looking through business credit cards vs. loans and I'm not sure which way to go with it. The problem is there is a lot of big cost up front, but once I have the tools I won't really have anything to buy other than paper and ink.

Nothing really to say about the project really. Kind of nervous to see what the newsprint is going to do to my design. I've already found a few problems with the photographs which might end up looking awkward. Won't know until I see the proof. Hope to be going on a press check next week though.
