No Baby Roadkill

Okay, so I'm minding my own business and checking a few of the links that I do, and I come upon one from Making Light Particles, for Baby's First DNA strand, and I get to thinking about Baby's Firsts.

Really. It could happen.

See, I have a friend who came up with a pretty original idea for a book, called Baby's First Book of Roadkill, where there'd be little bits of squashed felt in vaguely 'possum or squirrel or skunk shapes on each page, and then we came up with variations, say for the region of the country one might find said roadkill, or for special holidays (like deer season).

But I don't think anything became of it since when I google on "baby" "book" and "roadkill," all I get are lists of books that other people have done. Now, granted, some of them are pretty whack. I mean, The Baby Jesus Touch and Feel Book, How to Cook Roadkill, and The Totaled Roadkill Cookbook just for starters. And I also came across this completely on-target exhortation on what not to knit. (Hint: If it looks like roadkill, don't wear it.)

But no Touch and Feel Roadkill anywhere.

Hm. Maybe that's a good thing.
