my morning

2:30
miss m awakes for reasons unknown, goes back to sleep after 30 minutes of nursing

4:45
GOOD MORNING WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5:00
I write a bit on a project I'm working on, get a crummy half page written in between handing her toys and comforting her after she bumps her head on the couch.

5:45
She's no longer self-entertaining. Time to work out. On go the workout clothes, into the stroller she goes, and the ipod on shuffle plays...
"Let It Ring" -- Amy Ray
"One" -- U2 with Mary J. Blige
"It's All in the Game" -- Carmel (bubble-gum pop from 80s movie soundtrack)
"Quick" -- Eddie from Ohio
"Great Day" -- Eddie from Ohio (the Shuffle Gnome seems to be a fan)

I can't remember the rest, but they were peppy and inspirational. By this point I am willing to accept that this dreadfully early schedule may be an answer to a prayer from a few weeks ago, namely "When am I supposed to find time to exercise?" But the 2:30? I could do without.

Miss m and I see dew-filled spider webs in the grass, a rabbit munching on a crabapple, and lots of our neighbors with their dogs.

7:00
I take a shower

7:15
I spend the next 30 minutes thinking I'm nursing M down to a nap, having dumbly misinterpreted a big huge yawn, and the fact that she's fallen asleep the past few days at this same time, as a sign of impending sleep. PARTY ON MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!

7:45
I am at the end of my rope with this total kee-RAP.

And that was all before breakfast!
