Actually, what we did is go to the veterinarian. Jasmine is now 7 years old and getting gray around the muzzle. But the vet gave her a clean bill of health. And a shot.

And Jasmine snapped at her (the vet)! I was so embarrassed. Here I was telling the doctor what a sweet loving dog she is, and she nips a bit. The doctor said it was a "cheap shot" but I noticed she kept her distance a little more after that.

Jasmine's a mouthy dog; she has even sort of threatened me when I've been grooming her and I get to one of the sensitive spots on her flanks. After I scold her and smack her muzzle, she looks away with an expression of martyrdom. Go ahead, mutilate me. Just see if I care. You'll be sorry when I'm limping along on 3 legs. The persecution of it all....

I should have done more obedience training with her. Now I regret that I didn't. Well, my next dog will have the fun of heel, sit, fetch and stay. And it will give me exercise, too.
