Playing "Sacred Choral Favorites" (instead of having to listen to "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" and other assorted atrocious offerings). I love my kind of music; my spirits soar with the instruments and voices. And I love it when Beethoven hammers the major chord into the ground. Yes!
The CD starts with the Handel Hallelujah Chorus and ends with the Amen. Plus selections by Bach, Mozart and Pergolesi in between. When everyone else comes in, I'll have to turn it down, but for now, let the glorious notes soar! I'm still reading McCullough's First Man in Rome. It's taking me forever, and when a couple of days go by between reading sessions, I tend to forget some of the minor characters. Too many Gaiuses and such. And there are six more tomes in the series. What have I done? There are an Analog and an Asimov's waiting patiently for me, having arrived in the mail yesterday. Think I'll take a break between Roman books and enjoy some science fiction. Oh, yes, and go back to work.... Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
