It's raining enthusiastically this morning, so naturally the roads and freeways are down to a crawl. I've received several calls telling me that 'the bus is late and we're getting wet.'

Well, yes, in weather like this you can expect the transportation system to operate at the nadir of the efficiency scale, particularly because southern California is not used to rain like this.

And, yes, if you're standing out in the rain without a raincoat or umbrella, you're going to get wet. Even with wet weather gear, some parts of you may not remain dry.

What do you expect me to do about it? Some things you just have to deal with; they are as they are and that's the way you must expect them to be.
