Today Max was introduced to the rest of the family-in-fur. Much tail-wagging and sniffing from Jasmine; response from Max was a hiss accompanied by fluffed fur and then a lot of growling. He's really an impressive cat, and Jasmine got the message: that far and no farther, dog, or you'll regret it.

I'm not sure Misty and Callie have noticed Max yet. It's hot and muggy and these two spend most of the time in a favorite spot sleeping. I imagine we'll be awakened at some ungodly hour by sounds of horrified commentary from the three of them. Followed on by the thundering paws of the dog, who just cannot resist an interesting event, no matter how much feline warning she's had to STAY AWAY.
