Read Sue's journal (click her name on the left) for a vivid picture of getting ready for the hurricane and what it's like in the city as places have closed and the streets emptyied out as people flee the storm. Quite eerie. She has a gift for description; at the end of her entry, you can see her hurrying to get herself and her cats into the car and on the road north to higher ground.
