This article from the New York Times is interesting and provocative. Tempting as it is to draw a national picture in broad brush strokes, I'll read the article and suspend judgment, "Data on Marriage and Births Reflect the Political Divide."

I must admit, however, that the data regarding California births, mothers and language do reflect what I perceive as I perform my duties at work.
