It occurs to me this morning...

If you believed Genesis, that God created the world and it was good, taken literally,

then wouldn't you work with all your might and main to preserve God's work, save the whales, protect the environment, love your neighbor and cherish every living thing human and animal and vegetable?

Oh, I forgot, God gave Man dominion over all the earth and Man has interpreted that to mean a license to rape, pillage and burn. Sorry. For a moment there, I thought I was on to something.
