2007-06-16 7:48 AM Saturday Mornings Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (5) Saturday mornings I start out with setting up SO's meds for the week, a.m and p.m. and midday dosages. I usually get up at dawn (my bedroom window faces squarely into the rising sun and I am phototropic). I'm a morning person and I love the sweet solitude of the early hours.
By the time I've brewed and sipped my first cup of coffee, let the dog out to water the back yard and set up the medications, I feel as though I've done the absolute essentials. I think about all the other things that have to be crammed into the weekend (if they're to be done at all)--laundry, groceries, housework, etc.--and in the back of my mind I mumble to myself, "If they were left till next week, so what?" Would we starve? Hardly. Would the friends-in-fur die of hunger? No, they have backup supplies on shelves in the garage. Would I have to wear dirty undies? No, I have extras. Will the dust bunnies run away with the spoons? I'll keep an eye on them. And there are so many delightful other things to do besides chores. Not to mention the possibility of extra sleep. Ah, temptation. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
