You know how southern California is always on "Storm Watch" and what you get for weather is a bit of a shower, some drizzle and lots of clouds? Maybe the dust on your car turns to mud but doesn't get washed off.

You remember how often we've scorned the weather reporter's insistence that there might be flooding in the burned out areas and in the low-lying Sepulveda basin?

Well, for this storm there is neither scorn nor disbelief. This has been, for the last three days, the real thing. Rain, rain, and more rain.

It's been wonderful. There was a full spectrum rainbow this morning gracing the dark clouds with its glory. Beautiful!
