Misty (aka Miss Mistification--her real name is Artemis, Queen of the Hunt) continues to improve. The abscess has drained and she is keeping it clean. This afternoon she was acting her usual independent self, following me around for treats and pretending she didn't care if she got them or not. But just try to put the treats away without giving her one!

It's been a quiet day, punctuated by coughing spells and the occasional importunate cat. I miss Jasmine's quiet constant company and sympathetic ear. The cats mostly sleep during the day when they're not begging for treats or ear skritches. Just not the same at all, at all.

Opened mail, paid bills, straightened up the area around the computer. An unremarkable, relaxing day.
