I seem to have forgotten about the learning modalities. Many people take in, absorb, information via the written word. But many more have the spoken word and music as their primary learning mode. This latter group just doesn't register the information in the memo (or email) until I explain it to them. I may have engaged the kinesthetic learners' interface by sending them my origami-folded notice. In the processs of opening it and smoothing it out, they may read it and absorb the fact that the next two months' information is contained within and needs to be distributed to all the employees. At least, that's how it works for me. For the auditory learners, I guess I'll just wait for the phone calls. Too bad I can't send spoken emails.
