I feel horrible right at the moment, which is a result of 1) no coffee for what seems like forever; and 2) sleeping on the couch, lumpy cushions delightful for sitting, but worthless for sleeping. Ah, for a double papasan!
The good news is that my coronary arteries are small but clean, my heart muscle is in good shape, and the congenital aortic stenosis is...well...still there (and always will be) and not immediately life-threatening. I figure if the doctor doesn't want to see me for six weeks, either he calculates I'm good for another long while...or I'm going to drop dead tomorrow, so why worry? No, seriously, what he said was that I have "a good heart" and I am hugely relieved. There is a valve replacement in my future, but not imminent, especially if I continue to take good care of myself. Talk about motivation! TMI, I know, but I just had to put it out there. My gratitude to all of you for your kind words, positive thoughts, and prayers. My gratitude to the universe for my sturdy body and intelligent mind and loving, good heart. Thank you. Read/Post Comments (7) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
