Bloglines--an RSS news and feed aggregator and one I've used for years--is shutting down October 1st, because, they say, Twitter is the wave of the future and service aggregates of news and blogs are no longer economically feasible.

Twitter--thoughts to be compressed into a few words--if it's more complex than that, too bad.

So more and more, our world gets dumbed down into Newspeak (a la George Orwell). How can you express a subtle, complex concept in 25 words or less? It's called microblogging--140 characters or less.

This is one of my shortest posts, already 4 or 5 times the max characters of Twitter. Are we all to become twitterpated (like Bambi)?
