2010-10-10 3:01 PM Devil Wind Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (3) The high predicted for today was 88. It's currently 97 and rising. The cause? What I like to call a "devil wind", though I think it's proper name is a Santa Ana Wind, coming in from due north, and heating us up by compression.
Dry? The humidity is 12% and dropping. Misery quotient? Well, you can work that one out for yourself. Nosebleed weather. Just finished Sylvia Smith's Dance on His Grave and also Mike Jasper's All Nations Team. Both worthy of your reading time. Starting to feel the urge to re-read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, though a bit daunted at the prospect of finding enough time and giving them the attention they deserve. Not books to be skimmed through, that's for sure. I'm hearing sirens on and off. Fires? Wouldn't be unusual, in this kind of weather. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
