2010-10-11 1:05 PM Shock and Grief Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (7) One of our employees, a good friend, and a truly nice person passed away this morning.
She came upstairs to discuss some paperwork, went down to her office, sat in her chair, and fainted. Someone called 911. She had a massive seizure on the way to the hospital, was intubated, CPR, they tried everything for an hour, but she was gone. Gone at 47. All of the calls seem so inconsequential. All of the petty demands seem useless and self-serving. All of the paperwork just meaningless record keeping, marking our minutes and hours, for nothing. Some keep busy and talk, some sit and cry, I've spent some time just sitting and staring out the window inbetween calls. Send not to know for whom the bell tolls....
