2011-12-15 12:48 PM Warmth in Winter Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (8) The company I work for could save a lot of money in the cost of electricity if it forbade employees from using little electric heaters under their desks.
The little heaters are going all day--and often all night, when employees forget to turn them off--even when the ambient room temperature is a nice comfortable 72 degrees, the heaters are still going full blast. By the end of the day, it's approaching the mid 80's and all around me I hear comments about how it's finally warm in here. If people are feeling chilly, why don't they get up every hour or so and walk up and down the hall? Even one turn down and back will help the circulation. And cost not more than a phone call's worth of lost productivity (don't get me started on the personal calls). Why do the women insist on wearing lightweight, sleeveless, decolletage even in the dead of winter? And open toe, slingback shoes? Or even sandals? No wonder they feel cold. Put on some clothes and turn off the heaters! Read/Post Comments (8) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
