Virginia has repealed the law limiting sales of handguns to one per month. Way to go, Virginia! Handguns can now be bought in unlimited quantities per day. Analysis shows that 40 percent of the 1,236 guns found at crime scenes in New York had been purchased in Virginia, which was the reason for the law in the first place, to slow the supply of weapons to New York City.

Governor McDonnell, who signed the repeal, is a Vice Presidential hopeful, so he signed it even though he had earlier indicated he did not support the repeal.
