2012-02-29 11:05 AM Earthquakes Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (5) Southern California is experiencing a swarm of light earthqakes this morning, centered at Niland (just north of Brawley), right off the Salton Sea, near the San Andreas Fault (the big one that runs north/south). There have been 9 of them in the last two hours.
We can't feel them, since they are for the most part quite small (one was 3.4, just a little shaker), but a swarm is unusual enough to get my attention (I have an app for earthquake monitoring). The last big quake in these here parts was January 1994. We're due. Another day in the life. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
