clouds and drizzle. Alternating with patchy fog and light rain. What we call around here Native American Weather, most commonly happening in June, but, hey, who pays attention to the traditional weather patterns any more? Walked for only 29 minutes this morning (I read from my old kindle while I walk). The kindle battery ran low, refused to turn pages. The maid, the chauffeur, the butler, all forgot to recharge it for me. Hmphf. I'll have to fire them, every one. Note: the Kindle battery light is green already after just 90 minutes of charging. I suspect that the battery is no longer holding much of a charge. I'll be glad when the hemo level is back to normal. Iron-rich foods seem heavy to me, and I'm tired (already!) of lentils and figs and oysters and dark greens, when my usual diet is much lighter, with salads and fish and tomatoes and summer fruits and yogurt (or kefir). Lighter in calories, too. The iron-rich foods tend to be nutrition dense (except for the greens) as well as tasting heavy (to me). After a while, it seems like there's a metallic taste left in my mouth. No doubt my imagination working overtime. Nothing new there. So enjoy the Apache weather while you can. It will be summer, soon enough. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
