Keys, wallet, cell phone, sun glasses, list of errands. Picked up bag, stepped outside front door, and it was like stepping into an oven. It was hard to breathe, it was so hot. Checked "To Do" list. Decided nothing was urgent enough to require my leaving the house today. Back inside, divested myself of stuff, returned to cool computer room. Whew! Yesterday the temperature flirted with 100, and today looks to be more of the same. In May??? My poor tomatoes. No, of course there's no climate change, you fool. This is normal fluctuation. I don't care what the climatologists are saying about the hottest years on record. Just scare tactics. Or maybe they've been bought off by this administration. Yeah. I shall ignore the evidence of my own eyes--ears--skin and believe the pseudo-pundits. And did you hear about the bridge for sale in Brooklyn?
