My friend called me early this morning while I was having my first intake of coffee. She said that her husband was banging around angrily, talking about doing all the things that he had promised on and half-finished or never delivered at all. "Because she was so impatient and insensitive."

[Like he can get all irritable and snarky and demanding, but she is supposed to remain pleasant and submissive at all times.]

I had told her what you said about just removing herself from an uncomfortable situation, so she asked if she could come over and coffee here. Additionally, she would help me with the closet-cleaning I had planned. What an offer!

So, to make a long story short, she told her husband that she appreciated that he was getting to the projects and that the banging and thumping and grunting, if necessary, could continue without her; she didn't need the attitude.

Here she is, helping me out, and it's a win-win situation. After our cups of coffee, we'll wrestle the closet into submission.
