Went downstairs, put coffee on to brew. All is calm, all is bright (well, a few wispy clouds). Then B's cell phone rang and the conversation revolved around election results, Analysis Unlimited.

I fled to the privacy and quiet of my upstairs cave. After 16 hours yesterday of poll watching and election night party afterward, all the incessant political talk, I need quiet time and solitude. OK, so I'm an introvert.

Maybe after a cup of coffee, this journal entry and some silence, I can head back into the stream of events, but right now I feel raw and exhausted.

Let me come gently into this good day.
