Thinking back, I should have realized that yesterday would be a challenge when I made the early morning pot of coffee and forgot to put the carafe underneath the drip basket. Luckily I was at the kitchen table, working on the Sunday crossword, when I heard the sputter and hiss of coffee dripping onto the plate below, and pushed the carafe into place in time to avoid total kitchen disaster.

The rest of the day continued the same way, with near disasters, but acceptable final resolutions.

Today has dawned overcast. I believe that it's dawn, though it would be hard to tell. The overcast is really heavy. Weatherman says 10% chance of rain, but I doubt it.

I put on the jeans that are a snug fit, along with a favorite tee shirt and hoodie. Oh, my, the jeans are just a teeny bit more snug than usual, so I guess that extra piece of toast is not on the menu, and lunch will be a salad ::sigh:: and so it goes.

No disasters, near or full-blown, yet this morning, so maybe it will be an average day. Yeah, I could enjoy average after yesterday. Boring would be nice, too.
