2004-02-05 5:52 PM Brown Hawk Chowing Down Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Discovery Channel-ish Read/Post Comments (3) Got up to let the poodle do her morning business. As I started to open the door to the deck that leads to the backyard, what do I spy? A hawk perched on the deck railing pulling apart a sparrow. I quietly closed the door in my dog's face to keep her from doing the yipping poodle thing. The hawk didn't notice us at all, excellent vision my ass. It just keep pulling apart his prey. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. My dog kept staring at me with urgency brought on by imminent urination. The hawk finally digested its last sparrow Hot Wing, shook it's plump wing feathers and soared over the WalMart I live behind. And the poodle piddled happily ever after in the hawkless backyard.
