Part of me doesn't want be that guy who writes that cheesy entry, but some things ought to be said out loud no matter how obvious (and no matter how few people hear it). I'm incredibly thankful for

  • for those I rarely see, I wish I saw you more, and I think of you much more often than I talk to you
  • for those I often see, I really appreciate having you
  • for those who are newly married or new parents, I'm so happy for you
  • for those I've lost touch with, I'm sorry, and I would love to hear from you
• Families
  • my family, small and far away, I love you
  • my in-laws, thanks for accepting me as I am
  • friend-families who take us in, you can't understand how special that is and I love you for it
• Mentors -- friends and allies at work, you remind me what I want and what's important
